I would really like to know what kind of tree it is and if it survived it's haircut.

I can assure you all...that IS one rare bird!!!! He probably thought it was a duck blind...you know how those guys from Iowa are.

I think the tree is an elderberry or mulberry??...it has these really cool whitey-pinkish longish berries that are delightful. The neighbour told me to cut it down right away as it had bad juju...she claimed that a house with that tree in front of it would make people leave the place and never return....hmmm??? I could think of a few people that should rent it then!

I find those local superstitions pretty funny sometimes...another one I love is that you get a cold if you get out of bed and walk around in your bare feet! I know people that wont eat anthing anyone brings to their house for fear of it being bewitched.

oh my, we just had a little tremor...oh oh...OK, I believe!
