where to pack the meds?

Dad and I will be flying south in a couple of weeks. He takes several medications.Should we put them in his check in suitcase or carry them with us?All the bottles have his name and docs ID on them.Do we need paper presciptions too? Also, he has a backup supply in case he decides he doesn't want to come back. Will that pose a problem? Thanks in advance! Sally

Keep them with you; don't want to lose them.
You should be fine as long as all the prescription meds are labeled in his name.

Absolutely... keep them with you. Any liquids, inhalers, gels, in the plastic zip lock bag.
No problems if they are prescribed.

maybe!

Thank you all. They are all in pill form.I was kinda wondering if he might get questioned as to why he had , like, three months of pills.I'm hoping for a safe and as comfortable trip as possible. He has pretty bad dementia and altho it has not been diagnosed, I suspect Alzheimers also.I am a bit anxious about this trip, as he has not been on a plane for at least 45 years. He is one of the old Baja pioneers, starting back to 1956, and we thought one last trip may give him something to "remember".He is 85 years old, and still has a sense of humor.Lost my Mom last year, and they were married for 64 years, never spent a day apart. This journey will be a challenge for both my Dad and me!

may be a small but important note,

since you are flying in, make sure you fill out your FMT on the airplane for 180 days. Will help support your large quantity of subscriptions if anyone questions..........
