AMTs in El Rosario

Since I will need to pick up some pesos by the time I reach El Rosario, can someone tell me if there is an AMT machine in town?

Thanks!

There is no ATM in El Rosario.
You will find 2 about an hour north.

Also available in Santa Rosalia to the south.

Stop at the Commercial Mexicana supermarket on Reforma (Hwy 1) just south of the Wal-Mart center. They have several Mexican bank ATM's. Check with your home bank to determine if they have a Mexican "partner" bank.....this may help you to avoid ATM fees

My bad! ATM! If none in El Rosario, how about San Quintin, San Vicinte, or Santo Tomas? We will be heading south. I have a local bank here in central Oregon.

There is a Banamex in Vicente Guerrero on the east side of the Hwy at the traffic signal. I only use ATM's attached to banks.

There used to be a Santander ATM (Bof A related) located at the Pemex store just north of the Guerro Negro "Eagle" before you enter the Military area, on the left hand side, travelling South. I would "stock" up on Pesos in Ensenada. Commercial Mexicanna has many ATM's as stated previuosly. Just another tank to "top off" whenever you can.

I second Bajaguy's suggestion. Comercial Mexicana. When you see Walmart on your right just south of Ensenada, get into the lefthand lane. Take the left at the signal between Costco and Comercial Mexicano. They are open 24/7 and have about 4 different ATMs to choose from inside the store, just as you walk in the door. It's easy, safe, and if one ATM isn't working, you have the option of using the one next to it.

Nothin is Santo Tomas.

Costco and WalMart have ATMs as well. I didn't know about the "open 24" part at ComMex. Is that for sure, Kathleen?

I'm pretty sure but I'll double check tomorrow when I'm there. I think they lock up one set of doors.

Just checked their website. Says they are open 7 am - 11 pm.

Southbound, out of habit, I guess we've always stopped at the bank/ ATM just before the turnoff to La Bufadora in Maneadero. Yes, there are ATMs in the San Quintin area. Then, a big drought until you get to Guerrero Negro. However, if you don't have a pressing need at GN, because you'd have to drive way though town to get to the bank, there is an ATM on the East side of the highway opposite the Pemex in Vizcaino. Last ATM until you hit Santa Rosalia.

The bank ATMs are generally 24 hours, using your card to gain access through the door.

those 24 hr atms are great...so secure.....about, i dunno, ten years ago, in los barilles,(i always spell that wrong), in the middle of the night, some guys came to the atm booth, wrapped a chain around the machine, and drug it off down the street...no clue....then...i think it happened AGAIN about 5 yrs ago....broke the bank...took awhile to get an atm back in town...and...that was the ONLY source of cash for most of us in la ribera at that time next to san jose...it was drive 16 miles or head south for a full day to get $300 worth of pesos...fun...i love it..that's what makes it special........here i am, back up north after our 6 months in mexico, freezing my butt off, and ALL i can think of is baja...pining away at the window checking out the frost on all the plants here, i am already packed to return....i love it in washington state, but, IT'S TOO DAMN COLD right now...

I am sure you meant a 'Mexican criminal'...? Mexican people by and far are honest people (as are most) in the many years I have known them...
