UNCONTROLLED SUBSTANCES (Tacos & Boleo Bolillos) FOUND IN STA. ROSALIA

Okay, so I can't control myself at times!

TACOS

Every time I pass through Sta. Rosalia, it's a given that I am going to have a hit or two at famous Pepe's Tacos at the entryway to downtown cochinija. 2 fish tacos will give me a pleasant buzz.
.
My taco connection, Pepe. He's been my supplier for many years and he recognizes me. I am an easy mark.

.
The colors..the colors!.

.
Now that I am on a taste roll, I stroll down the street looking for my next score...and find it.

BOLEOS! Are you there, mulegemichael and other french bread lovers? We are talking fresh, delicious, mouth-watering, hot-out-of-the-oven BOLEOS! (Actually, they are 'bolillos', but we have come to call them by the bakery name here. Thanks for the heads-up, elizabeth!)

.
Of course there are other sporting highs, too...all kinds of pastries.

.
Care to take a tour of the bakery's lab? Let's go...

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.
After a bit the goodies end up at the storefront.

.

THIS PHOTO TRIP HAS PRODUCED THIS FACT.

The world is divided into two classes --Crumbfaces and Dieters

"Fair warning, stranger...do not get between me and the pastry."

I'll help! When are you going next, Roger?

Sounds like a 12 step program to me. I believe the photos showed all 12 steps.

We can use my house as a half way house between Santa Rosalia and yours, Roger. :saint:

:?:Ewwww i did not know snails had hooters!! How do you milk one?!

You would have to wait a while to get enough milk- it's probably a 'sluggish' kinda process since they're so small.

My hubby bought some warm and fresh here at the calimax in Manendaro yesterday. Did not know they were called Boloes, also did not know they were a traditional Mx. bread. Just thought we got lucky and got some really nice rolls! :)
