He has plenty of time and it is not like people are streaming in here in September.
Suggest that he go to http://www.kayak.com and set up a fare alert for his trip. He can get one everyday, once a week, once a month. I have running right now for a September trip to the Caribbean.

88 dollars? You can't even take the bus for that.
Wonder how safe it is. Better increase your life insurance.

Ya, in spanish Volaris means "it might fly".;D

volaris experience

Just did a quick trip to LaPaz from TJ and back....$210.00 RT
Great plane, almost brand new, bigger and cleaner than Alaska Airlines. Also great service. Not to mention once you get to LaPaz or Cabo you don't go through customs, so it's that much quicker...... I was extremely satisfied...... Will probably do it again in May since LAX to LaPax is about $500.00...... Cabo is usually cheaper, but my car is in LaPaz and I hang in Todos....... RT

I've been flying Volaris TJ-LP every 6-8 weeks since they took over the Aerocalifornia route last August. Never a problem. Never late. Free booze on board. New Airbuses. I just booked a flight for Memorial Day weekend for $155 RT. The trick with the fares is to check often. I don't know how they work their pricing structure, but it can change from day to day for the same itinerary.

Volaris was modeled on the Southwest/ Jet Blue concept. New, efficient aircraft, with little time on the ground. Thoroughly safe and with good service and free booze. They hub in Toluca, which saves them alot of dough. They have a codeshare with Southwest that, at least for now, will allow Southwest passengers to transfer to Volaris in Ft. Lauderdale to then go to any Volaris destination in Mexico. I suspect that Volaris and Southwest decided that the Eastern seaboard of the U.S. to the Cancun area was the market that was most lucrative. At least for a start. West coast routes are really dominated by Alaska. Those of you looking for low fares to Loreto, should count your blessings. You're not going to find low fares anytime soon. But, the trade off is that your relatively undeveloped paradise is still yours to enjoy.

I heard from someone with the city here that the flights start in April. Also, that may be when they open the new terminal.

Does anyone know if any airline flights are availble from San Diego or TJ to Mulege area around late April-early May?

Just need a one-way flight for my friend, Gus. Are therestill flights flying into the Sta. Rosalia strip near Palo Verde? If so, from where? Thanks.

Was wondering as to how to handle FMT if flying Volaris TJ-La Paz. if I park at the TJ airport, I'm assuming I can handle that at the border as I cross. But was also interested in the service Volaris operates from the Train station in San Diego. Do they stop at immigration, or just drive straight to the terminal?
