More of those little white wildflowers
OK, I am obsessed with these because their intricate tiny beauty is not seen as one walks by these. It is not like seeing a California poppy field,
or a mountain side of lupine that just takes one's breath away. Amongst the more colorful wildflowers, they grow and almost have a weed like quality.
They just don't call out to be noticed.
Here they are in a fuzzy version in front of a fuzzy zopolote , but it gives a
general idea of their size and growing pattern.
But when magnified and looked at very closely with the camera lens, I find what is there to be quite amazing. First there are the tiny individual
little flowers that bloom a couple at a time and appear to have little pink candles in the middle. Then they come together to create the bouquet that
is seen more as a single flower when walking by. And as they begin to fade, the pink candles appear to grow little white glowing stems.
So, here are a few more views of this tiny beauty.
By the time we get back to BA they will be gone, so this is it for the year---but next year ---

They look like they could be fairy wedding bouquets. Very pretty.

Oh, I just love that---I can see all the fairy dust and I have a vision of Tinkerbell in a wedding dress. THANK YOU
Russ and Woody, thanks, I am glad you appreciate the pix.

Again, nice job Diane. I like that you took these early evening/at night with the dark/black background it looks like it's the only thing there.
Also, I like the shot with the vulture in there for size comparison.
Most people would walk right by these (or over them). I'm like you - I stop and see it all.
Love your photography.

Look like pincushion flower, Chaenactis sp.
