Baja Bound on Paddlesurf.net!

They guys over at Paddlesurf.net are clients of Baja Bound, and they approached me to do an interview for their site to talk about surfing, Baja and Mexican insurance. It turned out pretty nice! Enjoy!

Nice interview---they did do a good job. And while we hope to never have to use the insurance, we are very pleased with the service we received when we ordered the insurance.

Thanks for sharing it.

Diane

SUP surfing is just corny, why ride a board so big it surfs poorly? And if you are using a paddle, doesn't it become a boat?

bunch a posers..... i guess if it's flat and you just have to get wet, wait, standing with a paddle doesn't = getting wet. maybe trolling while paddling if you can't afford a boat. can you just imaging 2nd point at juanico during the summer?????????:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Buncha posers? How do you figure? Most of the guys doing this have been surfers for years.....some are living legends....watermen. For those that scoff at it....trust me....it is not as easy as it looks, and it is one hell of a workout.

next thing they'll come up with is speed boats in the lineup towing guys on their boards into waves.... IF IT'S FLAT AND THEY STAY OUTTA THE SURFING LINEUPS i don't care. JMO

Hehehe. I totally understand your point....I usually go out of my way to surf in uncrowded places....so I have not had to compete for waves with someone on a SUP. It would be a losing proposition though.... since I ride a 6'7".

Honda has a nice little 2 hp out board ( only 28 lbs.), how about putting one of those on a paddle board?

Nope. No motors for me!

I gotta say that after two weeks of paddling flat water in the bay and surfing some 1-2 foot days that it is one of the best and most fun workouts I have ever done.

I have also lost 5 pounds in the process!

Hehe. Trust me, the minute the surf gets bigger than two feet I will be out there on my shortboard.

We call them "Dippers"..looks like they are dipping into a big bowl of guac.

I can keep up with most dippers on a good 9'6"....no appendage

The SUP broom sweepers had the best viewing spot for the whale sharks this past summer in Bahia. They could quietly sweep their way right up to them and look down into the water on all their giant-ness.

I was envious.

Sounds like a great way to check em out! I have only seen some little sand sharks and stingrays....nothing too exciting.
