I agree, this is what we all have to do is hang in there, I realize it is easier said than done, but if we continue to call them on their shake down,
we all will be much further ahead of the game, you can not be scared, because if you are, they pick upon it.
Good job, really good job, I'm proud of you.

Since you got his name, I would report it to the Secretary of Tourism. You can call their Tijuana office at 1-888-775-2417
Their website states:
If you feel that any public official or law enforcement authority has mistreated you, you can file a complaint. Make sure to get the persons name,
agency, badge or patrol car number, as well as place and time of the incident and report it immediately to our Tourist Assistance Hotline 078.
Not sure if anything will come out of it, but it can't hurt to try....

Mordida
Good for you to stand your ground! I am sure that it was scary and I commend you for putting up with his crap. If you can make the time, by all
means report the SOB! When you went to the station, did you pay the $40?

Shooting Saliva ?
From a Mexican ?
A great Spanish instructor I once had explained a technique that was used when HE was a student at the University of Mexico, Mexico DF to fine-tune
pronunciation. They would have you hold a lighted candle a short distance from the mouth and say "pollo, pollo, pollo". If you did it right the
flame wouldn't waver.
OBVIOUSLY, that guy would fail.
I (more than once) have told a German friend of mine that was the reason he'd never get his Spanish right.
When holding an energetic conversation with a German, you need a Raincoat and Face-shield.
Maybe the guy was part German.

You could always threaten to have him and his family killed. Several months ago, a friend had two rosarito cops threaten to do the same thing while
they robbed him.

Offer him "plata o plomo" and have him be your slave for the duration of his career. That will be about as effective as reporting it. Plausible
denial for a cop in Mexico has no bounds.

Print this and have it with your registration and insurance papers so when you are pulled over they will see it. Also get the Tijuana and Ensenada
Sindicatura telephone numbers so you can call them from the scene of the stop if they want a mordida. The Ensenada Sindicatura is covered I think from
the first or second toll booth going south until you reach the Baja California Sur line. Tijuana is I think covered from Tijuana up to the first or
second toll booth going south. Someone in here should have more accurate information regarding the jurisdictions.

Does anyone know if Sindicatura has any type of window or bumper stickers available? That would be a smart thing to have on your car.

Back in the day, there was no 'I'll follow you to
the station to pay the Muncipal Judge',
or the Mail in Tickets. I don't remember
anyone doing anything but pay the
Mordida. I'm 30 yrs. older so maybe I've
become less of a target. There was a guy
in the San Bernadino area, that sold
sindicatura decals for the windshild.
Never had any feedback as to their
effectiveness. The threat of the vehicle
being impounded and you can pick it
up the next day trick has worked on me

.. or you could just be in legal compliance and take the dark tinting off. They started cracking down on dark tints last year. You might even have
started peeling the tint off in front of him yourself- I've heard that works.
None of the dark window tint the guys are waving at you near the border is legal.

The TJ Mayor said that the police carry knives to allow you to remove the tinting.
Anyone know how this is working out?
