Parking in Ensenada

Hello,
Anyone out there know where I can park my car for 12 days starting this Sunday. We are taking a last minute cruise out of Ensenada and everything that I can find states that the Port does not have any long term parking. Thanks Lauri

San Nicholas Hotel has secure, fenced parking. Maybe you can make a deal with them. They must have a website with contact info. It would be real convenient for your needs as well.

Ensenada, with a Cruise Port and touting itself as having a world class tourism industry doesn't have long term parking. Amazing.

Dennis,
Most people cruising out of Ensenada fly in to LAX or San Diego, they are processed at the cruise ship terminal in San Diego and then bused to Ensenada. Since we are driving up from Mulege we are in need of parking. Thanks for your idea and I have another U2U suggestion. Lauri

Fact is that there are very few cruises that embark from Ensenada. They usually are Hawaii-bound and use Ensenada to get around the U.S. law that disallows foreign flagged vessels from transporting passengers between two U.S. Ports without making a foreign stop. So, if there are maybe at best a dozen such cruises a years from Ensenada, the prospect of making a profitable business in long term parking is not very high.

Agree with Dennis that the folks at San Nicolas are a high probability choice, especially if you book a night there before or after or both. There is always a guard at the entrance to their fenced lot.

Still, parking is a lucrative business and I'm surprised nobody here has jumped on that. Maybe it's because they can only offer security...not guarantee it. I don't know of anybody, local or transient, who wouldn't take advantage of SECURE parking in Ensenada. It would eliminate a whole facet of crime in the city.
At La Bufadora, the only concession making money is PARKING.

Granted. But Bufadora is basically an every day opportunity to make money. And I wouldn't consider parking at La Buf to be either secure or long term. Actually, I believe that the cruises that do embark from Ensenada do offer pre and post stay packages. I wouldn't be surprised if San Nicolas wasn't already involved with it. I say that because last time I stayed there, I noticed emblems for a few cruise companies out front of the lobby. It's one thing for the businesses in the downtown area to post such signs, mostly for the day-tripping tourists off the three day cruise. However, San Nicolas is fairly distant from the dock.

I leave my car @ a little parking lot in front of the fish market when I go Isla Cedros. It is almost walking distance to cruise ships. It is very secure and guarded 24 hours The owners name is Mario Ptacnic, very nice person. His phone # is 149 1296 or nextel 152*175582*3 Hope this helps

Thanks Loreto57, I will take the phone # with me. Right now I am checking on parking at the Marina. I don't have a problem paying for secured parking especially in Ensenada.
