Is the Road from San Jose to Shipwrecks paved yet?

I'm heading down to San Jose this Thurs and I am trying to figure out which kind of car/suv to rent.

Does anyone know If the road from San Jose to Shipwrecks is paved or not???

I am trying to figure out if I should rent a 4-wheel drive SUV.

Sorry if this is like the 100th time this question has been asked.

Thanks.

No it is not, but you do not need 4 wheel drive. It is paved to Buzzard's, rough after that, but maybe graded for Easter.
