I am proud to announce my new website: www.abreojosdental.com

It is the project have dedicated myself to, what ever it takes. I am thankful for the help of the flyingdocs.org. My project has become their project.

We need volunteers. The next clinic is June 11-14th, then mid sept and mid oct.

Contact Hank Frolich at hafrohlich@sbcglobal.net if you would like to join. We need dentists, hygienists and support staff.

Thanks!

this sounds like a wonderful addition to the community. Dental care is very lacking in our area of the coast so this project will be very welcome and well attented. well done amigos.

3 Acre Lot Slated for Dental Clinic

The Cooperative de Punta Abreojos has secured a lot for the new dental clinic. It is 80 meters by 80 meters. Which works out to almost 3 acres. The want to build the clinic and have domitories for the volunteers. Also, we are thinking of 3 hangers for planes which would be for rent when the volunteers are not in PA.

Lots of great things happening. I am amazed how fast things are moving for Baja. This town is really embracing the help and wants to make life better for their citizens. I was callled to a meeting with Frankie the secretary of PA Cooperative and who runs the operation from PA. The president is in Ensenada. He said that the Cooperativa thinks of their business as a family, not just a business. Very progressive thinking for a PRI town. They are donating all of the materials and possibly the labor.

What exciting news. How one man's dreams can become a reality with the help of so many in so short a time.

You are all welcome to participate, we always need dentists, hygienists, assistants and support staff. Next clinic is sept 10-13 and mid oct.

That is so great and it is wonderful how the town is responding.

Good luck and we will spread the word to dental professionals we know who do traveling missions.

1 meter = 3.28 feet.
80 meters x 80 meters = 1.58 acres.

Very good news for Abre !!

Opps!

New math I guess. Anyway it is way more than we need. Just got the preliminary plans from the architect. Very impressive. We also may have a lead on a full time dentist to staff the clinic, which would really make a difference. Hopefully a denture lab and a modern recall system and education in the schools and changes can be made for a more painfree life.

Changing the world one smile at a time!;D

Phoenix Flying Sams

Love to have you guys come and help. I am having the clinic designed for all three groups. LMV, Sams, and Liga. I do not think being a member of one group, or servicing one town excludes being in another group, or helping another town. The sams have sworn off LA Bay for now because of two planes stolen. They are more then welcome to come help in Abreojos. We all have the same mission, to help our fellow man. No need to be territorial or competitive. We have done alot recently to streamline permission thru La Paz.

Our next clinic is Sept 10-13 and I have four working chairs and only one dentist, me. Come help me!

Thanks!

Craig

i am down - no annual. none planned for a while - too hot to work on it. maybe have it ready by end of sept.

contact Sams at www.flyingsamaritans.com and .org

also Aeromedicos might want to help, out of Santa Barbara. servicing Cadaje and basing from Serenidad. they surf San juanico, couple of them i think. one surfing junkie is a Dentist flies a 210. i don't know if he's taking his 210 anymore tho.
