Just some misc. Photos for fun

Got a lot of nothing to do so I was thing I'd drop some Photos on ya.
Punta Chivato re-opened restaurant.
After golf game
My neighbor with a big rock
He's trying out his new boat & dog
Paco and his family. He sells the best pork. fed with dates
The boat ramp
A Stake House that never got off the ground and my nearest neighbor to the north. Now named "The Bird House"
The hotel... Mostly empty
Waiting for the Easter campers in the next arroyo north to leave so they can start the cleanup.
I think this guy is a Flycatcher. He has been busy around my front yard for a couple of weeks.
Hope you had fun. Next week I should have some pics of a trip over the mountain to Scorpion Bay. Happy end of Easter Week:)

Superb photos as always from you, Russ.

That 'bird house' was supposed to be Raul's steak house, no? I believe he was the one that started construction on it. I guess it didn't fly.

The old hotel looks pretty much the same as when I lived there in the 70's and early 80's.

I get a single vermillion flycatcher on my seawall every morning. He perches in exactly the same spot and zips down over the beach every now and then. I would like to think he scores a bug on every flight.

Now that my camera is 'gone', I am photo-less. Grrrr... Oh well, a replacement is coming and hopefully I'll post some photos, but not as good as yours. I will be using a zoom to get close to my little vermillion buddy.

Kudos, amigo.

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Thank you for your flattering remarks! But I'm really just a snap shooter and edit out an awful lot of stuff. Have to give credit to Tim for the restaurant shots and I'm having a lot of fun with Toms' 500mm lens too. I really enjoy every ones photos and wish/hope more Nomads would posts more. I know there are a lot of jewels out there that need to come to light. I have used/stolen quite a few Nomad photos as a desktop images and when blown up to that size (20" monitor) they are really quite interesting. Come on... snap a few and post them.

Pompano, Raul's partners wife had Raul start it then bailed out. Raul's interest in most of Chivato has been sold. He does still have control of the water and some other land holdings on Shell Beach. And... the restaurant that is probably not going to make it. A good cook and eatable food would held. What I'm told, is the food comes at a high price that doesn't reflect the quality of a meal. They do have cold beer and may put in a small store. It is a great idea but until the quality improves they'll struggle.
Ken, I'd like to slow BBQ the pork but when the fat hits the fire there's no slow so I burn the outside, take it off and wrap it in foil and wait until the fat burns itself out and in about 2hours I've got tender shredded pork. Or cut in stakes and BBQ. Yummm

Great Russ, love the pics of ButcherBoy and his new econo float.Hope the restaurant makes it, so we can have a place to fall back on and hang out. You can personally show me how to post pics soon. Have a good ride to the Pacific and say hi to all who join you.
