is passport card accepted for FMT?


i seem to remember the immigra guy asking for my passport last time i presented my passport card. i had both at the time but i don't want to carry both so that's why i'm asking.....

Obviously, either the card or the passport will get you back. However, I recall there being a thread here recently debating what the Mexicans will accept for providing you with FMT. I recall it being a little hit and miss. Reason dictates that the card would be acceptable. That being said, you know you won't get hassled carrying the passport. So, maybe a little bigger, but it won't potentially cause a stir at migracion.

yeah, carry the passport to get the 6 mo fmt. carry the card when you have the fmt for 6 mo.
