Pick-me-up drinks; Where and how much

One thing Nomads seem to have in common is kicking back and relaxing with a cerveza muy frio along with other stronger drinks.

When I ventured only as far south as Rosarito, the Don Pistos would be my one-stop shop for drinks as they seemed to have a wide selection at good prices.

Now in Ensenada I used to fill up on cases of Pacifico Ballenas (or Caguamas) at 13.50p when returning an equal amount of bottles. Unfortunately they now sell at 19.50p and don't take bottle returns. The cheapest place I can find now sells them for 17p.

I still purchase anything heavier-hitting at Calimax

I'm sure there must be better prices or quality elsewhere...

If you go east about 4 hours to Agodones the pharmacy/ liquor store sells Wyborwa Polish vodka for $2.06 USD per liter. Nice drive and buying a case you save a bunch.

Wow that is cheap. Even for Wyborwa. That's the stuff they sell at the Ensenada Walmart for 60p now.

@bajahawodd: yeah I am kinda a tight wad. No sense in spending extra when you can get it cheaper. Nowadays, every little bit counts.

Don't really think I'm about to drive to Algodones for cheap vodka. But even at 60 pesos, it's a deal. Best you can find in SOCAL is about $5.99 a liter.
