I could not get the page from the link. If true, it would be very serious. I have a bunch of friends who have been scheduled to fly to Cabo this
weekend. They called Alaska Air and were told that not only was Alaska flying, but they would not be given a refund or a credit if they failed to take
their flight. Need to update this issue since the cruise lines have ceased making call on Mexican ports.

CALGARY - WestJet Airlines Ltd. and Air Canada are suspending flights to destinations in Mexico, due to increased concern regarding the spread of the
human swine influenza virus there.
WestJet and WestJet Vacations will cease service to Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, effective Monday, May 4, 2009.
Service will resume to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta on June 20, 2009, the Calgary-based carrier said in an advisory late Tuesday.
Seasonal service to Cancun will return in the fall schedule.
Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations is also suspending all operations to Cancun, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta until June 1, 2009.
Flights to Mexico City will be maintained, based on travel demand, Canada’s top carrier said.
WestJet and Air Canada said affected flyers can make changes to their travel plans free of penalty.

Thanks Woooosh. So, what about US airlines? Mexican airlines? Just gotta believe that cancellations were so high, the Canadian Carriers just didn't
want to fly empty planes.

EXACTLY.
Why else would they continue to fly into Mexico City where the most deaths have been reported?

Zac, I know your politics and you know mine... I do like to hear all sides of an issue and make my decission... Fox is the only network that gives
equal time to both sides... Isn't that important in a democracy, freedom of the press?
Now, (not from Fox) here is the story off the Internet:
UPDATE:Air France Crew Refuses To Board Flight To Mexico4-29-09 4:08 PM EDT | E-mail Article | Print Article(Updates with background, details)
PARIS (AFP)--An entire Air France-KLM (AFLYY) crew and several individual flight attendants have refused to board flights to Mexico since Saturday
because of the outbreak of swine flu, airport sources said Wednesday.
Under French law employees may refuse to stay on their job if they have "a reasonable motive" to believe that their health or life is seriously and
imminently threatened.
A pilot who was to fly from Paris to Mexico on Saturday refused to do so for health reasons, citing the swine flu crisis.
His refusal automatically involved the aircraft's crew which was replaced, airport officials said.
Since Saturday several flight attendants have said they will not fly to Mexico citing "fatigue," the only reason accepted under French industrial law

DK-
If you want to listen to all sides then you should listen to all sides...not just Fox. I mean come on...why do so many Republicans watch Fox if it is
so balanced?! I'm going to guess that maybe the reporting might be just a bit biased. I do watch Fox now and then just to get a different
perspective.
Anyways, I was just going out on a limb....and not sure the importance of the story.
When's your next trip down?

The marketplace seems to be dealing with this issue, too. It was reported by Continental Airlines (which has the most flights to Mexico), that one
flight set to depart from Houston to Cancun on Wednesday night had only five passengers on a 157 seat plane. A US Airways flight from Phoenix to
Puerto Vallarta on Wednesday had only 7 seats booked on a 120 seat aircraft 2 1/2 hours before departure. Won't be long before they will be canceling
flights.

ZJ-
The importance of the story was about airlines not flying to Mexico... it is a major airline, is it not (Air France)...
Next trip for sure is Memorial Day weekend... would like to get to the beach sooner if we can, but with the economy getting worse instead of better...
that may not happen!
How was Pancho doing on your last visit to San Rafael?
You guys ever want to come up to Oceanside for a BBQ, XX Special Lager (on tap) and chill out day, let us know!

David k, I hate to break it to you but Fox news is not really a news station and it really insn't fair and balanced. Besides being a right wing entity
which caters to Murdoch and the neocons, They did help disract some mindless fellow americans with the Octomom to take them away from their miserable
lives.
Want news in the U.S., good luck finding it.

Ya, but David K has XX Special Lager on tap so... what other news matters?

Being an ostrich is not necessarily good advice for everyone. Sadly, the most unbiased and hype-free news source in this country is BBC America.

Please address this kind of stuff to you fellow Koolaid drinkers... I never mention Fox news in my post and was only responding to Zac's reply... Why
would a story about an Air France crew refusing to fly to Mexico make anyone think it came from Fox...? What purpose does bringing up Fox news have
other than to spur attacks by the hope and change groupies?
If the president in office right now had an (R) next to his name instead of a (D), the media would be tearing him up for all the gaffs, errors,
teleprompter goofs, unqualified appointments, increase in unemployment, hugging haters of this country... on and on... A Democrat president can do no
wrong in their eyes... and if only one network is going to be the watchdog for this tyranny, open-minded people should want that. What should matter
is that America and freedom be saved... otherwise, the outcome will not be very attractive, I believe.

If the president in office had a (R) next to his name, Fox would be talking about how great he is and in turn you would. Think about some of the
things you point out: teleprompter goofs (Oh Bush had a way with words), unqualified appointments (hmmm...does FEMA come to mind), increase in
unemployment (how in the heck does someone in office a 102 days cause all this unemployment?)
Here's a pretty good site for an idea about what the general population is thinking: http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx
I hope this is on the Fox approved reading list.

DK-from what I recall, the economic engine behind the Bush Admin's supposed strong economy was the housing market. Yes? So if that was the case,
your claims that tax cuts generated the "prosperous" growth you mention.
As for Bush and his spending habits, yes he spent a lot of money in Iraq and Afganistan. Looking back, I don't really see a good return on
investment. Do you? And how did Bush keep us any safer than any other President on watch?
Call the current administration whatever Fox suggests. But I suggest you take a hard look at some of the un-Constitutional acts the prior Cheney
dictatorship inscribed.
And as I have said all along, I am not a party soldier. I merely try to call a spade a spade regardless of party affiliation. So be careful when you
classify me with other folks.
In the spirit of good and positive discussion.
