Medical Svcs in La Paz or San Jose
My Dr. says I need to have a echocardiogram done(it is $2200 here in Boise) and I am thinking I could save money by having it done on one of my
monthly trips to Los Barriles... any recommendations??? any direct experience??? any idea as to costs??? I would obviously want a up-to-date facility
with great equipment/technicians(the function of the heart may be key to my quality of life)...

Dr. Juan de Dios Robledo Santa Ana
Constitucion 309 between Revolucion & Serdan (mid-block across from the Post Office)
612-125-2839
My Mother went to him during the 2 years she was here in La Paz. She really liked him; as do I from a non-patient perspective! He 's fairly young,
very thorough, personable & speaks great English. We met him initially via a trip to ER. Mom just turned 91 last week, which could either be
indicative of his skill...or maybe just family genes!

Never had one done, but a very good Cardiologist is Dr. Jose Santa Ana Pineda on Constitution between Revolution and Serdan in La Paz. I don't have
his telephone, but the lab in the same building is 612-122-1262.

Try Dr. Alejandrp Velderrain in San Jose del Cabo. drheart@prodigy.net.mx, 624-142-3031. I had a stress test done by him and it cost $200US. He
speaks excellant English.

Just wanted to chime in with the thought that even though I'm clueless as to the credentials of the professionals mention, La Paz would be my choice
if, for the only reason that it is a much larger city and has been around alot longer than Los Cabos.

You can also visit the larger hospitals and ask for references though the ones above are quite excellent.

We have gotten excellent advice on many issues from both longlegs and twogringos. My guess is that each gave you an excellent reference. So far, we
have been pleased with the medical services here.
I think the world is run by C- students.
