4 Chula Vista residents dead in TJ

The police are saying one of the victims had a possible link to a convicted drug dealer doing time in US prison. He may have lured her to TJ and had
her friends killed as well. There was a note on one of the vistims about an unpaid drug debt. The girls lied to their parents to sneak down to TJ to
party- not untypical. Being strangled or beated to death wasn't really a party worth skippping out for and a lesson many parents will be going over
with their kids. One bad apple did spoil this whole bunch.

The girls were graduates of Chula Vista High School, where I work. I don't think they were my students, the names don't sound familiar, but haven't
seen their pictures, yet.
The kids are already talking about this...many of them live in TJ and cross the border to get to school daily.
We had another current student killed in a car accident on the 5 last week, so somber mood around campus. H.

In the old days, going to TJ to party meant tequila shots and beer for underage kids. Obviously, 'partying' has a different definition now.

I was reading a version of this story on Yahoo and it mentioned that......"Violence had diminished in Tijuana in recent months, only to pick up a few
weeks ago with seven police officers killed in brazen attacks on one day."
How did I miss that story?

Not sure how you missed it ...
There was a big buriel (sic) service for the fallen officers and it was international news .....

My heart goes out to the parents and family members of these kids. Things have sure changed, I spent nearly every weekend in TJ from the time I was
16 till 18.

Tons of kids partied in TJ. If there is a silver lining, just remember the civic groups and parents that waged war on TJ for underage drinking and the
like. At least, for the most part, they don't have that worry today. Kids don't go there.

What I'm trying to say is that is in really bad taste to be commenting about the appearance of a recently deceased female in such terms. I'm no prude.
But just don't think the important issue is that she was gorgeous. Unless, maybe you are a friend of the family.
