Looks very green to me, for a desert city.

I've heard figures of 220,000 - 250,000 or so. My best guess is 248,397.

One of the reasons why so many publications and web sites list La Paz among the best places to retire. Medium sized city with abundant amenities.
Museums, university, excellent medical facilities, a long cultural history. Great shopping, whether it be local art or big box stores. Now, if they
could only do something about the heat in the summer.

Bajahowodd: We just returned from an art show in town and that is what we love about La Paz, there is something going on everyday of the week! Gotta
admit we escape the summer heat but always look forward to coming back.
