Thanks DavidK for the map visual, I tried but I am computer retarded.
I might be spectating from the Hotel Erindira that week, anyone else?
I'm still craving the best torta's and a caguama lunch, dinner, breakfast or late night leaving Coyote Cal's I have ever had from there.
Hope they get the water turned back on.
Leaving for Gonzaga this friday and be back hopefully before the race or whenever?

I am happy to help Ed! Have fun at the race...

The last Baja 500 (2006) we watched, we also helped with communications for Baja Pits, south of Valle de Trinidad... helping Roy 'TheSquarecircle': http://vivabaja.com/606

In 2003, my son and I watched the 500 near Agua Blanca: http://vivabaja.com/500

You can listen to the Weatherman during the race at http://race-dezert.com/radio/ and there is usually a link there for live tracking. If not then go to www.score-international.com and they will have the live tracking link.

That was a good spot for the last 1000! I will be north about a mile from you. What kind of rig will you be driving?

for the 1000 2009.
hope they fix it. the only link worth a crap for the 1000 was the feed from Wild Bill on top of a mountain.

i wonder where he and Elana will be this year for the 500??

Looks like it runs right through the Rancho Santa Marta orphanage and school grounds.
That is interesting.
Bill Lawrence, who runs RSM with wife Kaye, has been running events since the NORRA days.
Wonder if he will drag the old buggy out of storage for this one?

There is a dirt road that runs along the north side of the ranch (which totals about 400 acres) and over the top of the hill to the Mormon community.

Rumour has it that there are a few "interesting" family components in that little place.

hmmmmm, just what I hear, that's all.

Has anyone heard how they will be dealing with the all the bridge construction that's going on in town? We usually camp out in Erendira,,,but after last year I'm not sure. From Erendia you on see maybe 50% of the race field go by,,,had a much more exciting time outside of Ojos Negros. I have not missed a race in over 6 years,,,LOVE IT, and we eat like pigs. I imagine we'll be taping the race and throwing together a video of it---getting a handle on Final Cut Pro.
You all have FUN!!! and who knows maybe EnseNADAslim will catch ya on film.

We are too. We've got both computers going, WB, IRC tracking, Nomad on the desk top. Weatherman, Race Dezert and the live Red Bull jump footage on http://www.justin.tv/kadujr65 going on the laptop.

Don't you just love race day?!
