Taco Tuesday at La Bufadora?!?!
Man,,,where have I been? We were invited by the own of the restaurant to enjoy a complimentary meal and man,,,what a cool place. It's the first place
you see when you curve around as you approch La Bufadora,,nice place. I've passed it for many years now,,but no longer. I had some Enchiladas and they
were pretty good, the tacos looked good as well---2 for buck! I also like the Carlos Santana style live music that was being played. I usually have
meetings on Tuesday night,,,but I think I'll need to play some Hookie! I saw our friend Steve Daum there and as we left we saw a Baja Nomad sticker
on a car--who was it?!?!?!

Probably BajaBound 2005 and Bajamigo. If you saw Steve, you may have seen me as well. We were talking at the bar for a while.

Not quite yet, thanks. I had to get drunk before I'd put the AAA sticker on the bumper. I have some Nomad stickers ready when the time comes. It's
not easy watching your new car grow old.

You talking about the place where you see it from behind and then go down the hill and pass in front? For the life of me I can't remember the name,
but we've had many a taco and margarita there. Also park there for no charge if we want to hike out to the blow hole.

Taco Tuesday is always a good time to visit La Buf, but now.....
They have; Half-Price Thursdays. All menu items are 1/2 off, excluding beverages, all day Thursday. A good time to try the usually higher end of the
menu, like Coconut Shrimp with Mango sauce.
Alex Malpica, the owner has been building up a nice restaurant, and clientelle, for over four years now. A fun place to dine, and great tequila
selections.
Sound like a commercial? Well yes, I guess so. Alex is a good friend of mine. But, I'm sure you'll like the experience.

I remember when it first opened. My first thought was that it was too far from the rest of the "action". Obviously I was wrong. And yes. It has
developed into quite a nice place.

No. You weren't wrong. It's still too isolated to be a viable restaurant business. There just arn't enough people in the area at this time to make
any restaurant profitable IMO.
None the less, it is a nice place.

Is the restaurant name Celia's ? We ate there before going down, and parked right in front and walked to La Bufadora. That was in 2005 .

We will try to be there this Tuesday with rings on our fingers and bells on our toes. This time I'll be the big spender and have some tacos.

Celia's would be on your left as you entered La Bufa; fortunately for all of us, they closed about 10 days ago. Great setting, food was awful...and
I'm being kind.
La Bufadora Grill, home to Taco Tuesday, is on the your right as come into La Bufa (before the former Celia's); look for the big windmill; it's pretty
much the first building on your right as you come into La Bufa; just before the new tourism building they just built, but is never open (the tourism
office, not the restaurant).

It's not Celia's. That restaurant was right across from the parking lot at La Buf. I say "was" because it closed its doors last week.
