Cops to the Left, Cops to the Right ............

Cops all over the place.

After various supply stops this afternoon in San Felipe, we decided to drive downtown for early Dinner.

Driving towards Mar de Cortez, we saw police trucks blocking the road at the Ministry of Justice and more units surrounding the whole building along with dozens of police armed with Automatic weapons.

???????????

The "story" we got from a Local was that a military officer (Captain) in the Navy/Marines had earlier Killed a Bar Girl and was being charged before being taken to Mexico City. He said the officer was from a politically-connected family and there was a fear that an attempt would be made to rescue him.

Good Story. Anybody seen or read anything about it ?

Whoever it was, there were a LOT of heavily-armed cops so it was something important. After they left, we drove by the police station and there were only two units there so they had obviously gone somewhere else.

I like the story, Mr. Bill, whether fact or fiction. Sounds like the beginning of a long-running novella.

Guess I'll have to watch for Maggie's version to appear, since anything Truthful and or Negative presented on this forum will be deleted before anyone get's a chance to read it.

The story is he is ex-military, named Manuel Ponce Gallegos, 38 years old. He is accused of murdering 22-year old Elsa Elizabeth Maldonado Morales last May 21. Her partially buried body was found in San Felipe.

They found blood on the passenger side of his vehicle (which had Arizona plates), blood in his office, and the dead woman's purse in his safe.

I think they are living in the past and believe they are untouchable... they don't see the change I think I see happening all over Mexico. Tomorrow is coming and...the connected do not realize it yet. or...they are truly that stupid?
