Another List
OK was I having a dream or an idea? I think I remember seeing a list of where to buy all kinds of things and vendors who provide all kinds of
services in La Paz.
i have looked and looked for it to no avail. Does such a list exist? We are headed down on July 15 to close on the house and make some buy or move
decisions while we are there.
Thanks

Mary Shroyer at Marina de la Paz has prepared such a list. It is available in the marina office for a dollar or so.

B&B, there are a couple "THE LIST" threads on here, but they're predominantly "must-have/boy I'm glad I had that" kinda things for vehicle travel.
I'm thinking you might be recalling several individual threads of people looking for specific things, but maybe somebody else will bring forth a
thread I'd missed.
If you're talking furniture, there are several threads here naming new furniture stores, & I know there are threads giving directions to Segundos
(second-hand stores). If you'll share a little specifics on what's on your "buy or move" list, what kind of things you're talking here, I'm certain
you'll get a lot of input.
See! Paul just chimed in as I was typing! Anything you have in mind that you don't find on a list, just ask! You'll probably get multiple
options.

Texas, be careful with lists of people/products/serivices recommended in an informal fashion by locals. We have one in our area and I see people on
the list who should, by all rights, be in jail and I can't find the names of others to whom I would trust the lives of my children. (and my dogs) What
of those who compiled the lists? Did they check it all out before making up the list? What do those honest merchants and tradespeople think who were
not recognized because nobody who contributed had yet encountered them?

That's it. It is not, however, an endorsement of the business, just where to locate such a service. It was originally intended for boaters staying
in the marina giving them an insight to goods and services in La Paz. Of course, there are others that should be included, and perhaps some that
could be dropped. Yet, it is a start. Another method of finding information is on the daily cruisers net at 8 AM (except Sunday) in La Paz. This
method would allow some commentary on the business. The net is on Channel 22, VHF.
