Song on Doc's old Gecko website

We'll see how good your memory is. Does anyone remember the background song Doc used to play on his website? I loved that song. I would log on just to hear it. I asked Doc a couple years ago but he doesn't remember but he did say someone helped him set up that website. I'd really enjoy that cd.

You had to ask! It's going to be bugging me all day now until I remember. I bet DK knows, as I remember him posting something about checking out the web site just for the cool music.

Roberto set that up for him. If I heard it again, I'd know it's name but right now I can't remember.

The tune is playing in my head right now. Don't know how to type it. duh, duh, duh, duh-duh, duh, duh, duh, duh-duh, duh, duh, duh, dat, duh-dat, duh-dat. Something like that. I think Doc said it was a south-american band? Maybe another beer will help. Back to you in a minute...

That's what I thought. We should ask Roberto!

Just not the about the song. That part of my brain seems to have failed me.

I think you've stumped us Doug!

Since I was going down memory lane, I thought I'd look up the old Baja site:

What a flash back in time that was! Thank you very, very much Packoderm for sharing your memory lane trip. Those were the good old baja days. I miss some of those people.

Doug,

I have an Amigos de Baja sticker too. I never wanted to let it go, so I never stuck it to anything. It's one of my Baja good luck charms that I keep in my wallet, along with the fishing rod eye I snapped off on a nice fish last summer, an arrowhead Dern found for me the summer we first met, a "door" from a sea snail, and a lucky rock shaped like a bar of soap that Pancho from San Rafael gave to me.

With all these charms there is no room for change in my wallet at this point, so I'm not so sure how lucky these charms are...but they haven't failed me yet.

I just hope the troll plague doesn't eventually wear on the administration of this board to the point that BajaNomad becomes another "that old website".

Doc's song was a cha-cha-cha that we could listen to for many minutes while reading his weekly campo and fishing reports... I can hear it in my head right now, cha-cha-cha.

The founder of Amigos de Baja, is a Baja Nomad... FYI.

I use to cross paths with Earle while launching my boat at Huntington Harbor. He had a Bayrunner similar to mine. A very nice guy.

Well, there went my whole evening...man, what a blast from the past. It was maddening when some would not open...

Seems like things were so much simpler then. And sad to see posts of our departed Amigos...Chopy, Diklang, Tucker, Mike H, Dave from 29 Palms....to name a few.
