Overnight fishing out of Ensenada?

Hey all! My buddy and I want to take a quick trip down to Ensenada for a couple days of fishing. Are there any overnight trips?

Also, Can you recommend a car rental agency in San Diego to drive down.

Thanks,
James

If fishing is what you want then an overnight boat from San Diego is you best bet. I think a 1.5 day trip will be good in about 2 weeks.

I concur an overnight trip out of San Diego would be best. It will save you time and hassle, since they fish Mexican waters most of the time. San Diego would also save you all the drive and border problems.
I was in Ensenada a month ago and stopped by Sergio's sport fishing. Sergio informed that he was raising his prices to $150 plus license. The Ensenada Clipper is an old relic and has seen it's better day. I will not fish off the Clipper this summer or maybe ever again.

I just saw this posted today on a Baja fishing forum (Bloodydecks.com, Baja forum).
Google (ensenada charter selena) to see the boat. They are targeting albacore:

Spots open for this Friday

Hey Guys,
I have a group going out at 2am Friday morning 7/10/09 out of Ensenada.
They had some people drop out and would like to find a couple of guys to fill in.
I believe he has 3 spots. (dividing up the cost) between $120 and $150 depending if he fills up the spots.

Charter: Selena going to 238 - 295
Max: 8 passengers (has 5 now)
Bunks for 8 persons.
Friday 2am - 6pm
Bait, case of beer, case of water, ice, ziplock freezer bags, all gear included.
Bring what ever you want as well.

Gracias
J
