Pat and Julie Travel - Cabo San Lucas to La Paz

June 29, 2009 Drove Cabo San Lucas to La Paz on the West road – 108 Miles 2 ½ hours. Got flat tire just as we entered La Paz, ½ block from tire store. Charge to repair was 70 pesos but we gave him 100 pesos. Put new tire (spare) on truck and made repaired tire the spare. Spent the night at the Fiesta Inn La Paz, nice hotel on marina with nice view, but had to drive to the malecon.

Note - Driving Speed on straight stretches was whatever the speed limit sign said, but in miles per hour instead of kilometers per hour. Please do not lecture, I was not the driver. Driving times and distances are based on our GPS and do not include times when we were stopped for gas, food or Geocaching. If you don't know what this is, check out www.geocaching.com It is basically a high tech treasure hunt using your GPS. Brings you to great places you would never find otherwise and makes for a fun, but longer, roadtrip.
