July 21, 2009
TIJUANA – A 37-year-old U.S. citizen was shot to death Sunday night outside his residence in the suburb of Playas de Tijuana, authorities said
Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Anibal Beltran Jr. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana said.
Beltran was shot about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jardines section of Playas, according to the Baja California Attorney General's office. The victim had
stepped outside his residence to check the source of a power outage, and was shot repeatedly with a 9mm weapon. Police found a dozen spent shell
casings nearby.
Family members reached in Chicago and Munster, Ind., declined comment.

That house he was entering, has been raided by narcs and shot at several times in the past years. The Beltrans are well known.

Was the dead guy part of this family:
http://www.mahalo.com/alfredo-beltran
and/or
"The Beltran-Leyva brothers, who were formerly aligned with the Sinaloa Cartel, are now allies of Los Zetas of the Gulf Cartel."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Cartel
or did he just have the same name?
