WATERFRONT LOT at SAN JACINTO - SHIPWRECK BEACH
$39,500 USD - Adjacent to the San Jacinto Surf Camp, this prime waterfront lot looks right out at the surf break at Shipwreck. The private title can
be insured and purchased through a bank trust. It's just 4 miles on an improved dirt road from the transpeninsular Highway. It's close to the towns
of Colonet and Camalu where all major services can be found. Less than 4 hours from San Diego, this is a great location for a weekend or permanent
home.

One of my friends just put bars on his windows in San Quintin. Lots of breakins.
Sometimes it's the local tweekers but last time guys took a refrigerator, beds and stuff like that.
In the past it was smash and grab type for power tools, kitchen stuff etc.
Another vacant house they took light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, and even ripped the wiring out of the walls.

check out the posted link, it has good GoogleEarth pics and location marked. It looks to be down the beach from existing houses between a road and
the ocean.

Crusoe,
Thanks for your question – I know this concern is high(est)? on the list of questions people want to know and before I responded with what I would
say, I wanted to hear from someone who lives in Punta San Jacinto so I could answer with some validity.
“We've been living here for 10 yrs. and never had a break-in, the reason that (neighbor) has bars (hurricane shutters) on his windows is because he
only comes twice a year, and as you can see we’re the only close neighbors he has....We still keep a watch on his house, but never had any crime
activity here. In the ejido, I believe there has been one break-in about a year ago. When we go away we have some one come and house sit, because of
the dogs, and generator, it has to be turned on at least once a day.....We also have the security at the shipwreck, that is there 24/7 for the houses
there - and they always shoot their big light over our way at night, feel very safe here....We have no crime here!!!!”
Hope this is helpful. We live in San Quintin and although we take the same common-sense precautions here, as we did in the Seattle area, to keep our
selves and our properties safe-guarded, we feel more safe here and have not had, nor have any people we know had, any problems with crime. Not so true
when I talk with folks back home…
