CROSSING INTO BAJA VIA OTAI MESA

The Mexican Feds put up a new road sign that designates a road to follow that presumably takes one to the Mexicali Tecate toll road.
I was not paying much attention to my driving and saw the sign out of the corner of my eye, and decided to take it. One eventually ends up at Blvd 2000, but it's a 10 mile detour. If you do end up following the sign, take the Blvd Industrial for only two lights. Make a right, and turn left at the first traffic light. That will take you to Blvd 2000.

No, I didn't!
I got lured into following the road signs, rather than following my instincts.
For some reason I noticed some new road signs that I didn't think were there previously.

Confusing. Especially since they've spent the last couple of years improving the connection.

And with all the construction around there at this time (and probably for another 9+ months), things could improve.
It took two years to get the road construction done around Blvd Industrial!
