La Ventana Police Road Bloack 8/14/09

We left Yuma last Thursday morning to head down to San Felipe. at about 9:30 coming up over the hill getting close to La Ventana there were a few cars that were on the side of the road going north and south. There were a few cars in front of me going south that were stoped and there were 2 Federalies with assault rifles stopping the autos.
They were asking for some kind of documents. So I started pulling out my insurance etc.
About that time one of the officers came to my window and in spanish, that was to fast for me to understand, said something about Arizona. I nodded yes. He then said "Yuma?" I said, "no, Phoenix." He said "Ok, paseo."

I noticed as I passed that everyone that was pulled over getting paperwork out was Mexicanos.

Later that night while at the Jolly Mon, one of the band members said he was coming down from Mexicalli and saw about 11 Federalies escorting a yellow jeep and had a few guys in the police cars.

Any idea who they caught?

Yeah,
I heard that Emillio Juarez, Pepe Sonrisa, and Juan Valdez were nabbed for not having all their papers in order.

Que lastima....these are good guys who know how to fish and also do good masonry work.
