Pampano, Journey without tortillas

"Personally, I am off tortillas forever. Last week I fell through the earth's crust."
~~~"Had too many tortillas and such good stuff for 35 years, Bob. No mas, Doc's orders. I'll get my tortilla/bread fix by taking some fruit, nuts, and chicken (a little vino can't hurt)...." ~~~
I tried this several years ago. Lost 15# in 3 weeks. Then my State side supply of "correct" food ran out and Mulege/Santa Rosalia just don't have the "correct" food on a regular basis. I gained it all back plus ..... a lot more. Same year I tried to quit smoking .... 6 times. Good luck Pampano!!! We expect reports. Encourage me to start again. The "Got Soap?" would appreciate it. :rolleyes: Not to dis courage you but I don't see any tortillas in you friends bag...
Russ,
The key to quitting smoking for me was when I finally understood that I couldn't light up ever again. A single smoke would start it all over again. I quit about 10 times before that - unsuccessfully.
Thanks for the encouragement, Russ.
I gave up on cigarettes well over 20 years ago. Quit cold-turkey and never looked back.
I am currently trying my best to trim down and give up certain treats.
Some of my favorite treats come in .. ah..pairs! :rolleyes:
One down...one to go.
Thanks you to those who have quit smoking for your encouragement! ---- But---
I was kinda hoping for a bite by bite thread on the Pampano vs. tortillas journey.
Hmmmmm.....
Mushroom and sausage or pepperoni. A hard choice, indeed.
Looks like you're leaning towards the M&S.
Mushroom and sausage really don't enhance lemon meringue. Just my opinion.:smug:
It's much more than mere dieting, Keri.
You must excercise religiously.
Here I am doing strenuous duty ...melting butter.
Never had them and really can't image what they would taste like.... but, "soy tortillas"
Good luck, I'm been trying to deal with the issue for 43 years... my wife is Mexican and cooks like there is an army coming to eat...
