Drive my truck
Myself and my G/F are coming to Baja in December, we should arrive 2 or 3 days after Christmas but plans are not set in stone yet. We plan to ride
south on 1 motorcycle and 1 ATV. We're hoping to find someone to drive our truck from San Felipe to La Paz, or just a little north of La Paz.
Looking for someone to do it, or suggestions.

welcome muddybunny,
Everyone is pretty distracted with the hurricane right now. If you don't get any responses right now, try re-posting in a month or 6-weeks. You'll
still have lots of time to iron out details before your trip. After things have settled down a bit, folks will be able to commit to travel plans.
Right now, everything is so up in the air for so many people.
Good luck and hope you have an awesome trip in Dec!.

Doesn't seem as crazy as the people in mid July riding bicycles down Mex 1. I guess it's fun coming down the hill in to Santa Rosalia though.

Meredith aint to great on two wheels yet and she is really nervous about taking the DR350, and since it is supposed to be an off road trip we were
planning on putting her on the ATV. At the risk of turning this into an off road thread, is this a bad plan?

stay offroad and it'll be a blast. otherwise, just drive the truck in comfort and pull the bikes off the trailer and explore when the itch surfaces...

Are you looking for someone to drive your truck as a support vehicle that accompanies you?

I guess I could have been more clear. I was looking into having the truck taken south so we could ride one way, take our time, linger a little
longer, and then load up on the truck at the end.

Hey there 'rabbit...
as you have probably learned, "ya gotta be a little more specific!"
Don't despair, keep working on your trip, and like I said,
if nothing comes around, re-post in a few weeks.
allthebest...

driving an atv on mex one is too dangerous
think tires
that thing would flip in a second at those speeds
no great emergency help here
you'd be screwed
get that "fly out" insurance
its a regular two lane road with trucks and cars
some drive fast 80+mph
would you drive your atv down the interstate in ohio?
of course not...
drive the motorcycles and have a good time
those bmw's are FAST!!!

Muddyrabbit, my wife and i have rode many times from Tecate to San Ignacio and back. she rides a yfz 450 quad me on my ktm 525 m/c. with nothing more
than a AAA MAP. so just plan your gas stops as you know the quad needs more gas..........i put a big tank on the quad. will be looking forward to a
trip report, have a great time

That's a little more like the spirit I expected to find here, instead of this 'your nuts for taking a quad' stuff. She'll be running my Rincon with a
Scepter NATO can that carries an extra 5 gallons. Gives that thing a 200 mile plus range. I'll be on my BMW X-Country, also about a 200 mile range
in current trim. We are both also blessed in that we grew up about an hour from a riding area called Wellsville that has been politely described as
the evil step brother of the Yuma Proving Grounds. It was like growing up with an insane off road training ground close to home. Got a nice route
layed out with proven GPS tracks from other riders, and the passport cards coming. Can't wait to get back again.
