Ken,
A couple of years ago, after dad died, I found a lot of photographs made like your last image. That is a white border that slowly grew darker into the
central image. Most of them were his old sweethearts, I think. Anyway, that format seemed to be popular in the very early 20th century.

Igor,
Yes Vignetting was very popular in the early part of the last century. I thought the boats at rest had a timeless feel to it and took liberty with
the processing including the sepia tone.
Thanks Stimbo and Bog for your comments.

You have a great "eye" Ken.... thanks again for your art work, and it is trully unique the impact black and white has..... liked your others which
were submitted under another thread, too... the chuch was like a oil painting (taken with point and shoot, to cool), I have a hard time keepin my
thumb or fingers out of the way.

Ken,
You may want to add that recent image of your grandaughter in front of the fountain. It's a great example of good photojournalism.

But, I'd risk getting brow beat for posting a picture not from Baja. She is my Granddaughter though, so what the heck.

She is adorable, the photo is GREAT, so don't tell---could be in Baja---in fact, you could start a where is this thread. No one has been to every
place in Baja.

She must be enthralled with one of those statues. And it's not just kids who feel that way. I saw fountains like that in Copenhagen when I was in my
early 20's and I still remember their beauty. They were a bluish green color of weathered bronze and together with the running water there was a
wonderful feeling about it. Townspeople would take their lunch breaks at these fountains and just sit around eating sandwiches. They are very restful
places, like their parks.

Really good work there Ken... So cool that B & W version of color looks or feels so different.
The squarecircle led us to the Gilbert Family graves back in '05... Very interesting site and what a great view (you would never guess that Tijuana
was just over the hill)!

Good job Ken! Liked the first photo of the small tamale restaurant (Carmelitas Stand in Jesus Maria ) as we had lunch there this past Tuesday. Think
it's her son who runs the show now.
Just do it!
