Request for specific assistance in Mulege

Is there someone that can - and will - specifically help me with this request I received in an email this afternoon?

This is the email I received (edited for clarity):
---------
Mr. Means,

I am writing you to find out whom I can trust to get some money to a
very good friend, Manual "Lito" Romero, of La Huerta Don Chano,
Mulege, BCS. La Huerta, as you may be aware, was wiped out during
hurricane Jimena's visit. Lito's new house, high up on the hillside
was not damaged, so far as I can determine from the photographs posted
on the Internet. But, sadly, la huerta is gone. And with it, Lito's
livelihood.

I want to make sure the money gets to Lito so he can provide some
comfort to his two delightful daughters, as well as the seven other
girl children of la huerta. Not to mention Lito's wife, Ilisa.

If you can suggest anybody, in Mulege, who can assist in this
endeavour I would very much appreciate it. I await, with bated
breath, your reply.
---------

Please contact me directly if you can be of any assistance with this specific request.

Thank you.

Regards,
-
Doug Means

Might be able to help

I am headed down no later than next thursday (from SF bay area calif.) , hopefully arriving in Mulege by sunday. I am hand carrying a pile of checks to be deposited in our Rotary account (donations for relief effort) as well as $1000 in cash to pay a contractor, from someone I have not even met.
I don't believe I know Mr. Chano, but its possibe I have met him. I'm sure I know someone who knows him.

Would be happy to help if I can.

the correct answer is "western union"

the office is behind "Mick's Dive Shop"

you send the money western union
get the pick up number to the receiver

he goes to the western union office in mulege and picks it up

totally easy
no third parties

I sent money to Manuel just before the storm via western union with no hassle. If you email him with tracking number he can pick it up. Just returned from Don Chanos. Got a lot of work done. Manuel already has a positive outlook towards the future. Getting ready for the winter crowd. If you need his address let me know at hendo75@verizon.net
