Mexicali 300

Tunaeater and his friend Andy Padulo raced Sportmans class and Paul was the first Sportsman off the line. He held a commanding lead into our first pit but a flat front tire put them back several places. They charged hard getting third in class and I think 5th overall for bikes.

It was a good sunny day but dusty, very little wind, making it hard to pass. Lots of bikes and cars and a good time for all.

52X aka Tunaeater and Andy Padulo came home with a well deserved third place in the CODE MXL Logistics . We changed a front flat at RM 22.5 and 54x went by and a few others. We pressed on and got on the podium. We did 140 miles through the desert West of Mexicali (laguna salada), 85% whoops & rocks, 5 % high speed,5 % sand and some more whoops... Good Times!

Thanks to TW and Shirley for coming down and helping with pit support and getting our flat changed. In addition to changing the tube on the flat wheel so we had another spare to use if necessary.

Oh yeah and the cold beers at the finish line...
