Things to do - limited time
Hi all - great forum!
I am going to Baja with my two young kids (10 & 13) and need some advice as to where to go exploring in a limited amount of time. I am also
looking to hookup/hangout with anyone in the area while we are there.
We will be in the exploring mood and will be traveling in a Yukon 4x4 so sand and medium intensity wheelin' is OK. I've got recovery gear, but don't
plan on using it.
We will be in Baja for ~8 days from 10/22 through 10/30ish and will be focusing on San Felipe down to Molino Lacy/Willard area but if time allows
would like to see Calamajue and Agua de Las Flores.
Inclusive of things to do would be pools, caves, mines, cacti forests, beaches, geographic highlights, etc.

wow- what a great trip for you and the boys. I'm sure plenty of nomads in that area will be able to give you a fun itinerary or three...

You need a boat. Inflatable kayaks are handy or a zodiac with a small motor. Boats=Adventure

Maybe it is too obvious but ya gotta stop and see Coco at Coco's Corner! The kids should get a kick out of the decorations (though you'll have to
explain the ceiling decor yourself). He loves the company. This would be if you end up going to Calamajue. You may also want to ask Coco about road
conditions to the beach and who is down there at the fish "camp"...it is a tad isolated and not everyone's cup of tea but take a rod and reel and you
have a better chance than most places in the Cortez for a Yellowtail from shore. Have fun!

If you plan to visit Coco, bring him some canned goods and stuff - he's had amputations and in an isolated area.
