Just got back last night from there..... New palapas on some of the buildings, some of the bathrooms are torn apart possibly for repair, some new paint..... The place is in pretty bad shape though in general. Juan was there with a few others. Fishing was slow - we caught 2 dorado, bonita, some cabrilla and barracuda. We only kept the dorado and let everything else go.

Pacifico... are they serving meals there? How about gasoline for sale? I am asking because I saw those questions asked recently... It would be good to know, specially for the m/c crowd.

C205 - Cessna 205?? great baja plane - if so, be careful the narco trafficantes love 205/206s as you likely know.

there are several recent pireps on the BBP forum for PSFO if you can get in.
basically they are intently doing a renovation FINALLY including overhaul of palapas and the restrooms/showers.
meals being served, they have ice again.
look for good things to happen under a reformed owners attitude.

RW is in excellent shape - use the dirt one, not the old asphalt. they graded it right after Jimena.

We only ate there once this trip. But yes, they are serving meals there. They usually have gas there as well. However, we never bought any from Juan this trip. They also rebuilt the palapa shades on the beach for the campers. It looks like there are 3 or 4 north of the buildings and some new ones down south by the bathrooms.

. . . Thanks Pacifico. . . Was looking for a reply from someone who was ACTUALLY THERE; does not get much better than last nite! I go down yearly with at least 4 - 7 nights at the resort. . I do miss Charry & also Genaro (did a flite to Guerrero Negro w/Genaro one year. Had 3 seats in & 4 big passengers so got a $9.99 lawn chair for Genaro & off we went. Came back full fuel, bags of insect spray (after a hurricane came thru), chickens, potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes, limes, car parts, propane, hard liquor, etc. etc. Great story with Genaro. . . Managed some diving there also & got to see QUITE AN ARRAY including small shark & rays. . .2 years ago a turtle came out of the water & was in the process of digging hole / laying eggs in front of our palapa when we came across her!!! Juan & crew got all excited & videoed the event!!! Nice place to relax. . .When the chubasco's come thru it's another story. . .Again thanks. . .

No problem, glad to help..... speaking of turtles, there are also new signs to keep vehicles off of the beach both north and south of the resort because of the turtles laying eggs. Didn't see any when we were there. Have a safe trip and hopefully the resort will get back to where it used to be in better days......

We were there in January and it was about as sad as I have ever seen it. Glad to hear there is some activity and the beach palapas are back for us beach campers! We'll be there in a couple weeks for a few days and will happily patronize the owners.

. . . Good Morning. . . Well. . . I did not see much improvement here but it sure has charm. . .Very active with about 6 planes in / out in 6 days. . .Campers, fishermen, wanderers, & relaxers like me. Huevos rancheros are the BEST!! Fishing was good - 20 in 3 hours. Lots of wave action from the hurricane; came waaay up there. . .Water, & hot water are iffy, food good, runway good, people great & very accomodating . . Oh, they never run out of cold beer - only water. . .
