Desert Magazine was an awesome source of Baja adventure... Choral Pepper had a lot of great Baja articles during the years she ran it, as well.

David thats how I found out about Palomar canyon, I bought a desert magazine on e-bay and inside in had a article about palomar, so on my next trip to
GDL canyon i went searching for it...thanks for posting all this.this is what makes people go and explore Baja..
BAJA IS WHAT YOU WANTED TO BE, FUN,DANGEROUS,INCREDIBLE, REMOTE, EXOTIC..JUST GO AND HAVE FUN.....

The side walls of the mission church are nearly gone, as compared to the 1967 magazine photo... but the dry climate has slowed the rate greatly
compared to other adobe mission ruins closer to the Pacific coast...
