Chivato Rain? & Sunrise

We had some rain last night! I was woken up several times by the wind during the night but it didn't last long or I was able to get right back to sleep. When it started getting light this morning and I just had to click some sunrise shots I noticed the ground was wet. Unusual and very welcome moisture. Are rain showers called squalls when they make land?
OK, so here are this mornings' pics.
Just at day break:

15 minutes later

A couple of an early morning fisher with the Concepcion peninsula in the back ground

Just the splash as it hits the water

Got it!

It is still a beautiful morning but not quite the dramatic colors.

Russ, looks like we saw the same sights this morning. Here's Coyote Bay just before sunrise. Last night was very nice...a very light rain..a trace...cool and refreshing.

Reminded me of the old Baja 6 inch rains. One drop here..and about 6" away, another drop. Of course the recent huge rainfalls with the last 3 hurricanes have put the kibosh on that saying.
