Cadeje Airport update
Just a quick update on the Cadeje airport, the dirt strip 8 miles north of San Juanico. I just few in and was happy to see the strip was in excellent
condition. It was scraped after the hurricane and the soft spots that were there earlier in the year are gone.
The strip is about 2200 feet long and if you can land at Alfonsina's you can easily land at Cadeje.

thx Carlos - one Q - they had been blocking it with tires except when Aeromedicos from Santa Barbara made their monthly clinic flights, for which
they moved the blocks so landings were possible.
is it now in a state of open available use?
this weekend is a typical clinic weekend for them, same as Sams chapters.

Cadeje Airport update
Capt. Mike;
Cadeje finally got a new Federal permit from Mexico City for the airstrip this summer which is good for 5 years. Before this permit came in the
airport was technically closed (although they did remove the tires for the Medicos and a few other San Juanico residents). But now that they are legal
again the tires are not there as much. I have not seen them on the runway for months, except for a few tires at the east end that were put there for
safety in October because there was soft mud on the end of the runway as a result of the chubasco. Having said that they still want a "head's up" and
maybe even permission to land worry free. Jaime in San Juanico can set it up. Take care Mike!

Flying to San Juanico
CaptainMike;
If you really want to fly down, Juan del Rio and I would love to fly down with you and spend a few days at Juan y Juan.
We can split the cost of gas 3 ways. I'm thinking January after the Holidays...eh?
