I was talking to some of the racers who had finished already and were on the bridge watching the stragglers come in. I heard from one of them that one
team had their entire truck and trailer stolen. Didn't press for details.

I read somewhere ( I forget where) that Pete Sohren, truck #2, was hit in the face with a rock throw by a spectator.

Truck blew the motor around rm 160, and was out there..
