I was talking to some of the racers who had finished already and were on the bridge watching the stragglers come in. I heard from one of them that one team had their entire truck and trailer stolen. Didn't press for details.

I read somewhere ( I forget where) that Pete Sohren, truck #2, was hit in the face with a rock throw by a spectator.

Here is Pete "before" the race..


Truck blew the motor around rm 160, and was out there..

Frontera reporting State Preventative Police (PEP) recover several stolen vehicles inside of a body shop in the Zona Central, Tijuana. One of these vehicles, an F350 had been stolen at the Baja 1000.
