Costco Tequila! Kirkland Signature brand~

I just saw this in the Costco Connection magazine. Don't know if you'll be able to read it, but Costco is adding tequila to their line of spirits!

Looks like California is in luck, here's their locator guide-
http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/beer_wine_spirits...

Well, that image didn't work so here's a link to the article online at CostcoConnections-
http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/200912#pg1

attempt #3

the above link will take you to the cover page of the magazine, use the dropdown tab at the top to find page 61. Or you can scroll down the contents list on the left until you see TEQUILA!

Bajahowodd- the link will open another window, maybe pop-up blocker or something?

Might just be my browser, but I got nothing when I clicked on the link. On the other hand, I let my Costco card lapse in favor of Sam's Club. Go figure!

Off topic, but I'm always off topic... anyone have a guess for when you can shop online in Baja with Costco?

Like ever, or next few years....

At $23.99, it's a GREAT value for what most folks are saying is really Don Julio Añejo. Talk about smoooooooth.

sadly, the spirits are not available at Costco in WA state, but I wanted to let y'all know of the newest addition to the Costco spirits line.

Even though I'm not a tequila fan........except in a good margie!........I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say about the product, price and value.

I was able to enlarge the article but I'm not sure the 50kb limit will allow you to read it. It has some good info and it says that Kirkland ages their tequila at least 3 years in oak barrels.

hmmmm, thought I GAVE a review!

Pretty funny, the vendor for another añejo (can't remeber the brand but will check it out today & edit my post later) sent in a rep to stand there all day & talk people into THEIR brand (only aged half as long as Kirkland brand and $6 MORE per bottle) because, I can only assume, their sales weren't keeping up. I'm doing my part at the register to talk people into the Kirkland brand but my assistants are hating me for doing so cuz it' means a LONG walk back to the liquor department to make the switch for the member!

Given the amount of time it takes for an agave to mature, combined with the fermenting process, and then add the aging.......

No wonder this stuff seems to cost so much. How about cheap vodka?

Just kidding. But I have to wonder about how many folks are into tequila for the taste and how many folks just want to get snockered.

Hi LN,

Do you know why Tijuana Beer is no longer at Costco? I have a feeling it was because they only offered it in a mixed case of half Güera and half Morena... and many will buy one but don't want to get the other. It was fun while it lasted!

Hope you guys had fun at the 1000!

David

I like to drink tequila for the taste, and the effect. I NEVER like to ruin a good buzz so I pace myself. You will seldom find me snockered. :saint:

I look forward to tomorrow's weekly Costco run so I may try this. I know that our family has enjoyed the excellent value that is Kirkland brand champagne. :smug:

Elena La Loca knows a thing or two about te-kill-ya so I take her endorsement seriously. :dudette:

This is apparently where the tequila is 'fabricated'.

OK...here comes the tomatoes and rocks.....

.......but I have to share a great find ( margarita purists please bail out now). This almond-flavored tequila makes a fantastic margie using the classic 2-T/1-Controy/1-lime formula. Try it-you will thank me. In Mulege it's found at Saul's, and also in most booze shops up and down Baja in the bigger cities. And it's very inexpensive - can you say v-e-r-y inexpensive!
