Headed south in 9 days, fishing reports?
Were dragging the Trophy down with the camper for a month or so and plan on stopping at BOLA, Mulege, Loreto, Mag Bay, La Paz and Cabo. Any reports,
suggestions, ideas or invites would be very welcome.

The fishing has been very good here in the Pescadero/ Todos Santos area for Dorado, Wahoo, Tuna and Sierra. We have limited out every time we have
gone out.

Went out yesterday and caught a mess of small to medium jurel and a very nice 30 pound dorado. These were caught off of the north face of coronado
island. Bait has been a bit iffy but with a little patience are available.

I hear that fishing is the best it's ever been and is expected to remain so for the next 7 or 8 days.
I think the world is run by C- students.

commit...really...it's good advise...we have more tools now.

Good counsel, Mike.
Mag Bay is a good choice this time of year, since one can usually fish in the estero when the wind makes a trip outside imprudent. Over the past few
weeks snook have been on the bite inside, and wahoo outside on the ridge.
Here is Lopez Captain Ruben Duran with a 35 pound robalo he and Ken Alexander caught last week in the channel along the mangroves.

Cautioning about weather is always good advice. My main fishing grounds are in Oregon and we get some pretty nasty seas so I'm always watching and
cautious. One big differnace I've noticed between the Cortez and the Pacific (especially Oregon) is the lack of swell but the very potentially
dangerous wind waves, I really don't like taking one over the bow could be SOL in a matter of a minute with no Coasties to save your butt.

Have a very safe trip, have fun and give BOLA my love..I hope you catch alot of fish...wish I were going with you, it is too cold here in Grants Pass
with the ever present fog. We leave in 16 days for Singapore to visit my husbands Dad for xmas....should be a little warmer there then it is here.

In the Santa Rosalia area, the yellowtail fishing is a good as it has been for a long time. I keep very accurate records of catch rates and sizes, and
the fish from the last week and a half have been way over the top in terms of numbers and size. Here is a good picture of one of the 42 lb. fish we
manged to coax to the boat (translated as completely unwilling on the part of the fish).
