Rancho Progresso

Carlos Fiesta’s mentions Javier and Chary Tiznado are starting a new resort for Baja off-road enthusiasts at Rancho Progresso. Does anyone else have any recent knowledge of this?

It seems like a hard time to start something like that

I think we got fuel there last Friday. I think it was called Rancho Escondido. It was on the main road from El Barril. They had signs advertising Gas, Soda, Beer, Cabins (or something close). They had no Beer or Soda and got Gas out of the Pick-up. Looked clean and new.

Chase Trucks? ??

There are two El Progreso ranches in Baja we Nomads go by typically... One is near Mision San Fernando (southeast of El Rosario)... and the one this thread is about is near Punta San Francisquito & El Barril...
Thanks for the update!

I got this off thumper talk ???
Anyone else heard this???

http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=853974

re: Chary and Javier - within the past month+ I saw & spoke with one of thier kids, can't recall which, and he said Chary/Javier were planning to open a new place to stay at Punta Bufeo (a few miles north of Gonzaga). They already own land there, possibly a home.
Years back when they got ousted from PSF Chary told me she wanted to move back to Bufeo, but at the time it was just talk. Maybe some action now?
