What is your #1 Lure of choice?

If you could only carry 1 type of lure on your boat what would it be? 1 lure for trolling and casting.

Something that would catch you fish on both sides of Baja.

Okay!

I don't have any lures that I use for both trolling and casting.

I think what works best is matching the right lure to the right tactic to the right situation. I don't think there is an all-around lure that catches fish on its own.

I have favorite lures that are suited to my favorite ways to fish. And I find some situations where I haven't found a favorite lure for.

How about a compromise on your part:

A single best trolling lure AND a single best cast lure.

They really don't overlap very well as Don stated.

I am with monoloco, a good ole fashion plain cedar plug.

Fish have to be one the dumbest creatures on earth! It usally is my go to lure after all else fails. How could they possibly think that that looks like a meal?

Speaking of dumb fish, using a plain, beat up cedar plug, how many time does a Dorado have to take the lure, spit it out, take it another 2 or 3 times and spit it before it just can’t help itself and take it for good! Their loss, my gain, a delicious meal.

Well, I hope you bring more than 1 of each!

Hey did you catch any fish of the Rosarito pier?

I know you fished off Serena from Ensenada early this summer.
You guys caught a few fish so you saw what lures worked.
I fished about a month later and we caught like 25 fish. Yellowfin, Yellowtail, and Dorado. Every lure we used caught fish. And live bait too!

1 Purple Rapala
1 Blue sardine Rapala
1 Mexican flag feather
1 Crockdile
1 Blue and white iron jig
1 Cedar "natural" plug

Don't even go to Baja without this minimum kit. Plus a few I've either for gotten or haven't used yet.

Hey Dude. I still have some money on account with Serena. Do you want to fish next summer? Anytime after Aug 1 to Sept 15.
4-6 anglers.

And no drunk chicks throwing up all over the place.
Yeah, they told me about it!...
