Drug case fugitive arrested in La Bufadora

http://www.sdnn.com/sandiego/2009-12-23/mexico/drug-case-fug...

By Tania Navarro
December 23, 2009

Baja California state police agents captured an American fugitive Wednesday who was facing a U.S. arrest warrant for drug possession.

By relying on information provided by U.S. authorities, the state police launched an investigation to locate and arrest the fugitive.

As a result of that investigation, agents discovered that the U.S. citizen was hiding in Ensenada’s “La Bufadora” area.

Once apprehended, the suspect identified himself as William George Dunlap, 62.

He has a warrant for drug possession, in California’s Shasta County.

The detainee was given to the Mexican Immigration Department, who will deliver him to the U.S. authorities.

a pot grower ... Tehama, Shata and a couple of other North Counties are moving in the oppsite direction of what the President and the voting public in California have expressed as their desire with regard to "enforcement" on folks the grow, sell and/or distribute under the current law in California

Humbolt County's Agricultural Commissioner used to include pot in their annual crop report for $$ generated within the County.. :):)

I wonder if he belonged to the Punta Banda Yacht Club. He looks the Yacht Club type, doesn't he?

OK. So he's not photogenic. But this strikes me as just another case of misplaced priorities by law enforcement. There are REAL criminals in need of apprehension.
