motels or similar accomodation in Santiago/Miraflores area?
I'm planning a tour of southern BCS and do not want to camp on this occassion. This will be a 4wd expedition. I thought it would be great to stop in
the Santiago/Miraflores area, enjoy the hot springs and maybe visit some of the ranchos. The next day I want to cross the tip over the Los Naranjos
road through La Laguna to Todos Santos.
My question is, are there accomodations in the Santiago/Miraflores area that would make this possible?
Thanks for any info that comes my way.

correct, david...the palomar, aside from having some spartan rooms, offer some great meals in their shaded little patio overlooking the citrus
orchard...a very cool place.

Great. I guess I'd better limit our group to no more than 6 couples, since there are only 6 rooms??

Well... there may be other non-advertised rooms available or bed & breakfasts... or you will need to stay a few miles away at Los Barriles of Los
Cabos area.
Your 4WD expeditions sounds great... Please post a trip report and photos when you return!
I have wanted to do the Naranjos road since I first read about it!

Hola, when i'm in los barriles, baja sur, i go to santiago and miraflores quite a bit as i have friends and an adopted mexican family there. as david
k states, los barriles is a better option as far as rooms go as there are many hotels in los barriles and surrounding areas and los barriles is only
about 20 miles or so away. los barriles also has more services and shopping if the need arises, and i am sure it will. 2 banks, several markets, auto
repair, tire shops, welders, etc.
verdugo's is a rv park and hotel and has a large separate area for tenters that has bathrooms and laundry facilities as well as electrical and water
hookups provided. they are right on the beach and also has a pool for customers. there is also a separate rv area with full hookups. reservations are
recomended. it would make a nice base camp. there are many other rv parks in the immediate area.
there should not be a reason to limit the size of your group.
BIEN SALUD, DA RAT
