Bad Launches at Los Cerritos

Wednesday was a bad day for boats at Los Cerritos. 2 boats lost their pilots with 1 inflatable flipping after almost running over the operator. Then somebody thought it would be a good idea to float a 2000# inflatable with a 115hp motor off the trailer. They managed to get the boat off the trailer and get out after just a few dozen waves breaking over the tailgate of their truck. The real show though was when they came back in and attempted to float the boat back on the trailer. They did finally get the truck out though after it soaked in saltwater midway up the doors for about an hour. Beware if someone is offering a deal on a late model Chevy Avalanche (Avalaunch?) with Alberta plates.
