Travel time from San Ignacio to BA

Anyone know how long it takes to travel from San Ignacio to Bahia Asuncion under normal day light conditions?
Any hazardous or points of intrest along the way we should know about?

I'd say 3 - 3 1/2 by car and 4 - 4 1/2 at most with RV or trailer
considering a few stops and the inspection station north of San Ignacio.

If the dirt section of the Asuncion road has been graded recently, you can cut almost 1/2 hour off these times.

Thanks for the info. We'll be in a pickup truck pulling a small pop-up trailer and tend to stop allot for pee calls and cold beer so I'll figure 4 hours or so.

Thanks again,

Bob

Which road?

I guess you want to use the paved road from Vizcaino... but you can also follow the coast from Punta Abreojos... paved to there from San Ignacio... then a graded road to Bahia Asuncion from Abreojos.

I would'nt suggest the road from Abreojos to Asuncion if I was towing a trailer...lots of nasty washboard.
Watch out for potholes on the road from Vizcaino to the Asuncion turnoff.
Make sure you follow the power poles and veer left at the "Y" where it looks like you should go straight...dont go straight on the "whoopty do roller coaster ride" but keep left with the poles...see ya soon!

Shari,
How has the storm affected the coastal road south (long way to San Ignacio)? If it's like this....no worries:lol::lol:
