Tijuana Sunset

Taken just a few minutes ago from casa k-rico. Nice to see after a week of storms and clouds. The island is the north Coronado island. At the winter solstice the sun sets right behind the middle. Good to see it marching north.

Question for the shutterbugs - the halo around the sun, I suppose that would be called an artifact, right? Is there any way to prevent it using the camera settings?

You might try to open up a bit and shoot faster. If you close down the aperture, for instance F22/50MM lens, the sun will look like a starburst.
If you're talking about the reflection on the water, you'll probably need Photoshop or something similar.

Maybe a lens filter?

I like it.. and don't put up too many more... the people will find out that the ocean in Plays Tijuana is the same one in San Diejo.. sshhhhh!! be quite, I'm using BajaGrino's "snipers on the roof" for all further communication on the safety aspect of Mexico..

My sister in Arkansas was just telling me, it doesn't look all that bad where your staying.. I sent her a picture when we had the break in the rain last week.. her temp on her porch was 20º in freezing rain.. we were around 52º at sunset

Keep taking pictures please. On a clear day I can see the islands from my house in La Mision. Unfortunately, I have not been able to be there for a few weeks. Makes my day!

Will when I can.. I'm one messed up old dude at the moment.. that picture is from a few days back.. been having a hard time getting outside to take a stupid picture, now that is really pi**ing me off.. to be here and can't get outside .. that is almost cruel and unusal punishment.. I would drink but all my med's tell me DON'T drink alcohol with this medication, and my wife gives me Hole He** if she catches me with a beer let alone a good shot of "Vitamin T" ... thanks to the newbie ,bajafreaks, just used part of his post, told him it was a keeper.. "Vitamin T":biggrin:
