Either Lewis and Lewis, BajaBound or Discover Baja Travel Club can write insurance for both your vehicle and camper, boat, etc.
Service is better at BajaBound or Discover.
You can also get you FMT and fishing permit through Discover.
With the paid FMT, you only need to stop for the "stamp" at the border; no banks.

Thanks Diver. We have our truck through Discover. I thought maybe there was a different way to do it. for the camper. We also have our FM2.
Last time we were down, we were told we can fishing permits at Santa Rosalia for $5. Can anyone substantiate this?

Camper insurance
We have a popup camper on the bed of the truck. We insured at the border at Tecate and the camper was included in the truck insurance. Not sure if
you have a slide-in or are towing, but that was our experience.

Trailers arn't included in the truck policy. It requires a seperate policy.

specify your Lance model # etc. You can choose to have liability only coverage or you'll decide the amount of coverage you want on the camper and add
it to your truck value for comprehensive/theft etc.

We did the same thing for our camper and truck with Discover Baja's coverage.

It's my understanding that a towed vehicle requires a policy of it's own. Listing a camper as a towable, which it isn't, does that put it into the
catagory requiring it's own policy? Why do things involving Mexico have to be so muddled?

Both DB and BB offer the HDI Seguros policies and the only option you have if you want coverage for your camper is to list it under your
"towables".
I only have recent experience with the HDI policy, but they have you include all towables on the same policy. This year we have a new 16 ft cargo
trailer for the move, our old 10ft cargo, a travel trailer, and our camper- all on the same policy.
I did ask Discover Baja if there was a way to keep the cost down because since we'll obviously only be towing one trailer at a time, it really jacks
up the cost of the policy to add all the values of the trailers. DB said we could list the most expensive trailer's value and write "0" under the
value for the others. Then notify their office to let them know which trailer you'll be towing before a trip and they will change the value to cover
that trailer.
Our camper is always on so that value stays the same
